Vince Lombardi is widely known as one the greatest American sports heroes of all time. Having played, coached, and managed, Lombardi exemplified the success in the National Football League. Lombardi coached the Green Bay Packers to five NFL Championships, Including the first two Super Bowl games ever played. With Lombardi and Hall of Fame quarterback Bart Starr leading the way, the Packers made it to the Super Bowl a second year in a row in 1968 after defeating the Dallas Cowboys in the famous Ice Bowl. From start to finish the Packers controlled and dominated the game, winning by a score of 33-14. Star offensive lineman Jerry Kramer hoisted the Hall of Fame coach up on his shoulders as this would be Lombardi's last game coaching the Packers.
