The most notable player from the 1924 squad was Coburn Jones. Born and raised in Denver, Jones lettered three times in football, basketball, track, and baseball, becoming the first athlete in Denver high school history to achieve twelve letters. He is one of four players in the University of Colorado history to play in the majors (two years with the Pittsburgh Pirates), but ultimately spent his career as a coach.
This cap is truly vintage in that the University of Colorado no longer has an NCAA Division I baseball team. The school had to cut a multitude of sports due to the pressures of Title IX, and though they still sponsor a club team, the official collegiate team did not survive the scrutiny. This hat embodies the nostalgia of a team from years past.
