This is a lovely example of a mid seventies Slazenger Cricket bat. Made in England. It is in excellent condition. Judging by the wear it was used by a competent village cricketer or a high level schoolboy. This authentic Slazenger cricket bat would be ideal for a gift or for display.
Slazenger was founded in 1881 by Ralph and Albert Slazenger in Cannon Street, London. Slazengers has provided balls for the Wimbledon Tennis Championship since 1902. In its heyday the empire of Slazengers stretched across the world and provided bats to the top cricketers including Sir Don Bradman, Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Viv Richards, Sir Len Hutton and Denis Compton.
