Before he was "Broadway" Joe Namath logged three prolific, record-breaking years at The University of Alabama. Namath led the Crimson tide to a 29-4 Record in his three years there and under the direction of Bear Bryant, brought a national championship to Tuscaloosa in 1964. Bryant had nothing but praise for Namath, referring to him as "The greatest athlete I ever coached" and "The best coaching decision I ever made."
After his time at the University of Alabama, Namath went on to win Super Bowl III, and receive induction into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1985. Namath was the first athlete to win a National Championship, A league Championship, and a Super Bowl.
