The Atlanta Crackers were a premier franchise in the Southern Association of Minor League Baseball whose alumni include hall of famers Luke Appling, Eddie Matthews, and Heisman winner Charley Trippi. Hall of fame broadcaster Ernie Harwell got his start calling Cracker games on the radio before being traded to the Brooklyn Dodgers, an occurrence that hasn't happened since. A name rooted in southern heritage, this cap is in the 1939 style, the year following the club's Dixie Series Title.
