Italian football reigned supreme in the 1960s and at it's center was the city of Milan. Through the decade AC Milan and Inter combined for five league titles and four European cups.

AC Milan would become the first Italian side to win a European cup in 1963, defeating a Benfica side led by the legendary Eusebio. Their second European cup win would come six years later in 1969 after a victory of Ajax. The two cup winning squads looked vastly different from one another apart from the two pillars of AC Milan's greatness. Their innovative manager, Nereo Rocco, and their ever-present creator, Gianni Rivera. These two would begin the legacy of a club characterized by achievements on the European front. Today AC Milan has 7 European Cup wins and fans the world over. It all started here, with the AC Milan greats of the '60s.

The beginning of AC Milan's rise to the pinnacle of club football began in 1960, and it began in this kit. The forever classic red and black stripes remain the AC Milan kit to this day and inspire awe in the hearts of fans everywhere.
