Born April 18, 1942, Jochen Rindt was a German born racing legend. Racing for Austria, he won 6 Grand Prix races and had 13 podium finished. Popular both on and off the track, Rindt hosted his own tv show called Motorama. Representing Lotus at the end of his career, Rindt would win the majority of his titles in the notoriously unsteady cars. Rindt would find tragedy in 1970 when a faulty brake and poorly installed barriers would lead to his death during a practice run. His passing went on to shock the racing world- which awarded him the only ever posthumously awarded Formula One World Drivers' Championship title.
Celebrate the life of Rindt with this vintage formula one racing photo of him in 1968. Set in a 100% wooden frame, this photo is printed on museum quality photographic paper graded at 75 year aging resistance. Backed with wire, it is ready to be installed immediately and comes as a finished frame size of 22.5x18.5x1 inches.
