Harvard College's first season of baseball came in 1865, and the college has had a rich history since then. The first game versus Yale took place in 1875. In 1912 the Crimson Baseball helped open Fenway when they played the Sox on April 9, a game they lost 2-0. Harvard played several subsequent games against the Sox. Incredibly, in 1913 and 1916, they beat the reigning World Series champions 1‒0.
This retro Harvard cap is styled after the original 1950 design. It has been beautifully finished by hand and is a precise copy of the 1950's produced version. A cap like this one is destined to be in the hands of someone who appreciates the longevity of baseball that is especially captured by Harvard University's deep roots.
