    The first permanent park circuit in England, Donington Park found its life between World War 1 and World War 2.  Racers from around the world would come to the Donington Grand Prix to show of their Alfa Romeo, Silver Bullet, and Bugatti racecars. Winners included "Mad Jack" Shuttleworth, Bernd Rosemeyer, and Tazio Nuvolari.
