Our collection would not be complete without Babe Ruth. We are pleased to offer this fine photographic print of one of America’s true sporting icons. Babe Ruth is most likely the greatest baseball player of all time. He was born George Herman Ruth in Baltimore on February 6, 1895. He played in the MLB for 22 seasons from 1914 to 1935 hitting 714 home runs. He played for Red Sox (1914–1919), The Yankees (1920–1934) and finished his career with a short stint with the Boston Braves (1935). His career has so many notable achievements, but 7 World Series wins say it all. In 1936, Ruth was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is often said that New York and the “Bambino” as he was sometimes known, were made for one another. He loved New York and New York loved him. Babe Ruth’s impact helped make Baseball our ‘national pastime’.
